Hudson River House

Project by Nelson Byrd Woltz Landscape Architects.

Hudson River House is a historic mansion on the west side of the Hudson River, about 30 minutes’ drive out of Manhattan. The design exploits a bracket-shaped easing in the cliffs that led to the settlement being established in this location. The grounds include shaded gardens, pool terraces and open lawns separated by intimate pathways and board form concrete or fieldstone retaining walls.

Paul worked with the NBW team on the concept design and led the project through documentation and construction to completion.
